I just took out my bantu twists today and it was beautiful ! here's how yah do it !
You Need:
Cocoa Butter
Gel
Leave In Conditioner
Spray Bottle w water
Rubber bands
Clips
Hair Ties
1. Start with freshly washed hair, part your hair how you wanna wear it.
2. Put your hair into 4 sections take down one, and do the following steps.
3. Take your cocoa butter, leave in conditioner, and gel and distribute thoroughly through your hair.
4. take an exceptionally big section and inch wide all the way around and start twisting.
5. do steps 3 and 4 to the rest of your hair.
6. once all the twists are complete, take one of the twists and "bantu" it, meaning to wrap it around itsself into a bun, secure the bun and follow throough with the rest of the twists.
7. give your hair 2-3 days to dry and form bouncy curls.
8. after 2-3 days, take down the bantus, then seperate the twists until you get the full look you want.
9. if you want, take an oil sheen or hair spray to set the curls, and there you go beautiful bouncy curls ! i think this style is great for those who are transitioning and are thinking about big chopping but aren't ready for short hair this will show you or give you an idea of the shorter hair since the style shrinks your hair to the fullest, it may not match your curl pattern, but great for those who are ready for the big chop but arent sure about shorter hair
